It was just a fine choice for a weekend adventure with good price value. The shower had no power but kept us entertained with its quirkiness. Bring your own pillows for a better night's sleep.

Family getaway with charm
The food was lovely and I even got to try the hotel's own honeycomb which was very nice. The staff were friendly but clearly overworked, they really tried their best to keep up with everything.
It wasn't exactly a bargain but for what we got, pretty acceptable.

I enjoyed the beautiful setting and well-kept gardens during my stay at Chicheley Hall. The historical charm of the building added to the experience, and I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. my room lacked some basic cleanliness, with noticeable dust and cobwebs in corners. The shower had very little water pressure, making it less than enjoyable. there were broken tiles in the bathroom which should be addressed for safety reasons. I also requested a travel cot for my child, but it arrived broken, making it unsafe to use. While the grounds are stunning with great walking paths, the cleanliness issues and broken facilities were a downside.

close to beautiful parks and charming attractions for city strolls
I found the hotel perfect for exploring with its great proximity to Emberton Country Park, a fantastic spot for a leisurely walk, and a short drive to the lovely Cowper and Newton Museum, which made for an enjoyable day of culture and greenery. it was wonderful to unwind in such serene surroundings after my city adventures.

During my stay at Chicheley Hall, I was enchanted by the remarkable history embedded in its stunning architecture, particularly the intricate wood paneling and beautifully maintained gardens. This charming setting felt both welcoming and accessible for seniors like myself.
Could use more accessible seating in common areas.

I enjoyed my stay in the mansion house where I felt the history around me. The gardens provided a pleasant walk, and breakfast was satisfying. It felt good to be in a place with tradition.
The room was tired and needed maintenance. There were cobwebs in the corners, and the plumbing issues went unresolved.

The grounds of the hotel feature impressive architecture, giving off a historic vibe that's hard to ignore. A spacious garden provides a nice backdrop for relaxation or a leisurely stroll.
The standard double room feels cramped, with a shower curtain that I found a bit unhygienic compared to a proper screen. The lack of a handheld shower option made it less convenient, and I struggled with a heated towel rail that stayed on all night despite my attempts at turning it off. Other quirks included only having one hand towel for two guests and the absence of any tea or coffee facilities in the room. I also noticed cobwebs in the corners, which suggests the room could use a thorough cleaning. Lastly, breakfast left something to be desired, with limited options that required asking for restocks—a fresh cook would be a welcome improvement.
